Absolutley, a hairline browlift will not only raise your brows to a more youthful position and open up the upper eyelid,it will also reduce the forehead at the same time. Many patients are fearful of a browlift, but this is a great procedure with long lasting results.
The initial downtime is one week. The sutures are removed 7 days after surgery. Most people are going to take 10-14 days before getting out and about with friends and family. Swelling can take a few months to completely dissipate.
You can, however, I would need to evaluate you in the office to make sure you are a good candidate for just the neck. We want to ensure that you don’t have any skin that would bunch up if doing just the neck.
There are many factors that determine that. Your genetics, lifestyle, etc. You will always be ahead of the aging process. Most people will get 8 to 10 years from the facial surgery.
As I always say, it’s all about elasticity! If you have excess skin and want some tightening along the lower face and jawline, a mini facelift might be a great option.
Absolutely! Narrowing the nasal tip cartilages that are giving you the bulbous tip and narrowing the nasal alae which cause the overall tip to look wider than you want, can be performed with a rhinoplasty. The profile can be maintained and the nose can be smaller and thinner. The amount of correction is limited by the thickness of the skin, and the strength of the underlying cartilages. Those things can be assessed during your consultation and should be discussed to give you realistic expectations.
I’d recommend having some imaging done prior to your rhinoplasty. Imaging is when you alter the appearance of the nose on the computer and show the patient some suggestions as to what should be done to the nose.
Breathing well through your nose is a very complicated thing. Some people have straight noses, but have trouble breathing, while others have very crooked noses and have no problems at all. Since you’re thinking about getting a rhinoplasty anyway, this will be addressed in your consultation. If it is a problem or could become one, surgery for breathing and appearance can be performed at the same time since Dr. Standefer also is a board certified ENT.
The ideal nose takes into consideration the size and shape of the face, combined with cultural aesthetics. When you go to see a surgeon, be sure to see some type of idea visually as to what it would look like and how it would be done. Make sure your expectations are realistic.
In our office we tell patients the following: Low impact activities for the first 4-6 weeks and high impact thereafter. The reason is that you don’t want to risk having any bleeding into the surgical area which is more likely the first month or so.
The rhinoplasty procedure for most patients takes up to a year to heal completely and get your final result. Most importantly, you have to be patient and allow the swelling to subside before the final results are in.
I use the Perma Facial Implant for permanent lip augmentaton. Perma Facial Implant is a patented, FDA approved device. It is made of a soft, solid silicone elastomer and has a smooth, non porous surface that cannot rupture. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia in 30 minutes or less!
I would recommend that you wait for the filler to go away… and it may take 6-9 months or until your lips are soft. Then would be the best timing for your lip augmentation.
Adding volume to give facial balance can be done many ways. Injectable fillers both temporary or more permanent, fat transfer, and even cheek implants can add the volume you desire. Often times a combination of adding volume to your cheeks and decreasing the projection of your nose can help achieve the balance you desire.
